"Wave" - A mother and young daughter are coerced into joining her ex-husband on a stolen yacht bound for the west coast of Africa. Five days into the journey a raging storm engulfs them, forcing the family to abandon the yacht. Trapped in a tiny life raft with little food or water they find themselves pitted not only against the elements but also against each other. Based on a true story
"Faces in the Crowd" - A horror-thriller centered on a woman living with "face-blindness" after surviving a serial killer's attack. As she lives with her condition, one in which facial features change each time she loses sight of them, the killer closes in
Faces in the Crowd, starring Milla Jovovich and Julian McMahon, began shooting in Winnipeg on Saturday, May 1st, and continued until June 15th. Resident Evil star Jovovich, had already been seen in town in the company of her two-year-old daughter, stars as a woman who barely survives an attack by a serial killer known as Tearjerk Jack, and emerges from the experience with an inability to see faces.
Rock legend Marianne Faithfull will also be in the film, playing "Dr. Langenkamp," the therapist who tries to help Jovovich's character through her trauma.
The film's writer-director Julien Magnat, like Gens, was born in France and has a history in French genre cinema, and received both writer and director credits on the comic book movie Bloody Mallory
